Prairie Ridge Wellness Plan FAQ Page

What is a wellness plan?

The wellness plans provided by Prairie Ridge Animal Hospital include a package of services that we recommend for all pets to stay happy and healthy. We customize the wellness plan for each specific pet based on species, age, and lifestyle. It includes all the vaccines, diagnostic tests to make sure your pet is healthy, doctor exams, and heartworm and flea/tick prevention. Because we know that pets are family and our clients are committed to do what is best for their pets, our preventative care plans offer a member discount for all services included on the plan.

Does my pet need a wellness plan?

From the time your pet is a puppy or kitten and into their senior years, providing your pet with annual healthcare is the best gift you can give them. Wellness plans are a great way to ensure your pet gets the preventative care they need.

Are wellness plans the same as pet insurance?

No. The purpose of our wellness plans is to provide all the preventative care your pet would normally get every year but with a few perks. The goal of wellness plans is to allow us to detect illness earlier so interventions can be done. The wellness plans do not cover any treatment of illness, injury, or emergency.

Pet insurance is designed to cover the unexpected cost of illness, injury, or emergency. We do recommend pet insurance as well; if you are interested, please give us a call at (316) 201-6292.

What happens if I move or need to cancel my plan?

If you need to cancel your plan for some reason, call us immediately. We will take the retail value of the services you have used and compare it to the total amount of payments you have made into the plan. From there we will figure out the most cost-effective way to cancel your plan.
