Cara Mount was born and raised in the Wichita area. When she was eight, she saved up her Christmas and birthday money to adopt her first dog, Myst. Cara has always loved working with animals both large and small. She is a 2020 graduate from Bishop Carroll Catholic High School and is currently attending WSU Tech. She will graduate with a degree in Veterinary Nursing in December of 2022. Myst is a black Labrador/Pointer rescue and has been joined at home by Oliver James, an Australian Shepherd. After bringing Myst to Prairie Ridge for a minor emergency Cara was so impressed with the care and treatment Myst received that she was drawn to veterinary medicine. Her experience has driven her passion to support others by providing the best care to all that come into the clinic. She feels blessed to be able to begin her career in animal care here at Prairie Ridge.
